hey ppl, im new here and i want to play gw, but before that i hav a few questions, so plz help me answer them =P

1.i want to play gw with my bro and we buy prophecies and factions for two accounts, will we be able to start together on the same continent?

2.adding more chapters will give u more account space, but does that mean both me and my brothers account will get more space? or is it the choice of either one account gets more space or u can hav two accounts?

3.if i hav factions and prophecies and my frined only has prophecies, will i be able to play on his computer? and if i can will i be restricted to only the continent he has? if im restricted does that mean that if im on another continent i won't be able to play?

4.buying a gw game at a store gives u one account key, one cd key, and the download file righ?

5.is it possible to buying one game and be able to play on more computers than one? cause if i play i wanna play with my bro and i dun wanna buy two prophecies for that to happen

1. You have to have 2 of the same game to make 2 acounts. If you get Factions and he gets Proph, you can't play together.
2. You have seperate acounts. Adding another game to yours won't effect his.
3. The client can handle all games no matter which installed it.
4. It gives you one cd key and the client. The key is used ONLY ONCE to make an acount.
5. Yes you can play on any comp with the client with your acounts/ And no. You have to have two Proph acounts to play together on different comps. You can't play on the same comp, or with the same acount on 2 comps

1: Both you and your brother will need both campaigns (or chapter; it's the same) Each ''campaign'' of the game has it's own continent. If one of you buys factions and one buys prophecies you won't be able to play together. Note that if you buy both campaigns you must start with the same campaign together. Otherwise you will only be able to play together later.
2: Just what Peril's says. You get a account with the first campaign you buy. Buying more chapters will add more character spaces to your account and adds a new continent. It doesn't influent your bro's account.
3: If a PC has the program guildwars installed if can display any account, any character and any continent.
4: CD-keys are for CD's, so if you don't get a CD you dont get a CD-Key. Also if you buy it in online store if wont need to download it. You will get a key-number. When you already have an account you have the option: add key to account. This way your new chapter will be added to your account.
5: You can't play on 2 chars of 1 account at the same time. You will need to buy both chapters.
But believe me, it's worth it!!

thx for answering, butim still a little confused somewat

do u mean that in order for two ppl to play together and hav the full game experience u would need two prophecies, two nighfalls, two factions?

u mean that we cant play together but we would stil hav seperate accounts righ? its just that well be on seperate continents. does that also meant hat if i buy a prophecy and a faction i would hav the choice of either 1. having one acccount that can go on the continets of both faction and prophecy or 2. having two accounts but one would be able to go only on factions cont and the other only on prophecy cont.

last thing, wat would happen if i decided to get a new computer? would i hav to buy another one?

I'll try to be real clear this time

You buy for yourself each chapter. In order to play on the same time as your brother he will need those chapters himselve aswell.

Then you go create an account. you click on create new account. There a new screen appears which says: Prophecies - Factions - Nightfall. There you select one of the chapters. Your account will be "born" in that chapter, so in that starter area. In order to play with your brother from the beginning you will need to choose the same. If you don't you can travel to eachother later in the game.
Then you chose your world. Now you can choose your profession. It doesn't matter which prof you choose. A Necromancer doesn't start in an other place then a Warrior. So if you want to play with your brother it doesnt matter which prof you guys choose.

If you still got anything not clear just ask again
